Actually I think he said something about her being a "water sprite".
(Pretty much the same but cooler sounding)
Anyways, there's a rokurokubi/nukekubi and a wolf-girl, so why is a mermaid bad?
And nice job here, the expression is captured pretty well and the robe is nicely detailed.
