I like how you used the 3D to make the tentacles (I think that's what they're called :P) come out like that. Also, to answer your question, I actually have a tutorial called How To Make An Animation in my gallery. It takes some getting used to animating and I watch playback and I've ended up throwing out A LOT of animations, but now I'm more used to it so I sense the timing better. There are also a lot of other people's animations you can watch as well: #animation
