This time I made a somewhat melancholic painting.
Today I made a question, to one of the most popular artists around here, regarding how females where portrayed in a painting that was posted. I never got an answer and my comment was deleted within five minutes.
Im sorry that we apparantly can not speak about such important matters.
So, here is a sad elf(ish) for you!

Your work is so amazing...May I ask if the woman was portrayed in a demeaning way? If so, thanks...I've deleted some out and out stupid comments before, but never a valid question...

Thank you for reading! Yes, I thought so. A bit too much of a victim and a bit too tight clothing compared to the man in the painting. Maybe I was harsh and I know critique can hurt. But still, its important to think about those things.

Questioning art is part of why we create and love it! My own question is how long a piece like this takkes you? It is beautiful. Reminds me of Elric of Melnibone.

I completely agree...I don't have a problem with nudity, even, as long as it is not gratuitous and as long as it is marked mature. But, that sounds gratuitous and less than tasteful...

NC: Thanks for your thoughts on this. I agree with you! This painting took exactly 2 hours to create. But I rarely know beforehand how long a piece will take.
