LOL I have a strap on my 3DS so I'll NEVER drop it! U should get one!

i swear we could throw these things and they wouldnt break (idont recomend anyone doing that) but were always so emotional when it drops, ypu get that mini heart attack

I but a strap onto mine to prevent that from happening, but it still manages to jump out of my hands at times.

i dont got a strap but it fell like one time, that was when i was charging it, it fell outta my hand but it fell softly, it's still fine thank god

I, fortunately, have never dropped my 3DS by accident (at least not yet), and I often toss it (GENTLY!) onto my bed. But I still have bad memories of accidentally dropping my original DSlite onto one of those little Christmas trees with a piece of rebar in the center a couple of years ago. Top screen is completely useless.

Oh, and Dood jumped on me, and he won't let go. Please. Get him off. PLEASE.

I do that all the time. :P It slips out of mah hands and hits the carpet/floor with a thud...But it never freezes or gets cracks...but scratches is a yes.

I have never drppped mine on anything but carpet. If I'm not playing it, it goes in my pocket. :)

Completley UNLIKE An NES cartride. Cause if u drop it of a 3 story building it'll survive. Or through a wash cycle, or drill a hole through it, Or burn it.

I dropped my 3DS in Chicago on the streets... I freaked out.

Actually, my 3DS has been thrown against a wall (accidentally!), dropped down the stairs (STILL ACCIDENTALLY!) about twice, and it still isn't scratched or broken in any way! A testament to Nintendo consoles' durability!

That actually happend to me recently but I actually let go of it as I made a massive arm gesture. It flew three metres through the air and landed in the middle of a road. Luckily there were no cars coming.

well 3ds' are much more durable than other electronics these days. I mean if you drop a Galaxy S III once maybe twice it'll be broken, but I once dropped my 3ds on frozen pavement with ice and s.hit and it only got a little chip in the edge where it fell... Nintendo makes some durable stuff now don't they... My brother still has his Super Nintendo that he had since the 80's and it works just fine. same w/ all the games for it... I JUST WON'T BREAK EVAH! ^^

I... dropped mine in the middle of a parking lot, twice. It fell out of my pocket when I high-fived my friend. In the same location both times. Weird, huh? It's covered in scratches now... BUT IT'S ALIVE

this makes me remember when i still had my old DS. it was so damaged to the point where if the screen wasnt at a certain angle, the screen would turn white. also the hinges were broken so it would swing everywhere and i would have to hold its screen with my index fingers. thooose were the daaaaays...... thooose were the daaaays............then the screen fell off...

the DS and 3DS are pretty fragile without a defensive case. now the GAMEBOY ADVANCE ON THE OTHERHAND. indestructible! you can throw it at a brick wall and it will be fine. of course the game card will shoot out like a bullet, but it will be fine. then of course you can tear it off it's hindges, but wheres the fun in that?

I accidentally droped mine 7 feet once. Only a small dent to show for it. These things have to be the most durable handheld gaming systems on the market. iPhones on the other hand...

I keep all my handheld consoles, chargers, etc in my gamebag rucksack c: If my DSiXL died I'd cry for weeks XD I have an SD card with all my flipnotes on though. Same with my DSi. I accidently dropped my DSi (not XL) down some wooden stairs and it was fine :D I've had my regular DSi for 3 years now :D My DSiXL I've had for 2 years and my 3DS since September two-thousand-and-twelve. c:

The 3Ds is a sturdy thing indeed, but after i dropped it , it's always a scary moment if it will turn on or it'll be broken ( jeez , i really have to be more carefull with my ds ;d )

You know that you can buy a strap to put on it. Then with this strap you put your hand through it. If you drop it while using the strap it will just hang on.
This is why I've never dropped my 3DS.

A friend of mine intentionally dropped his Galaxy S 3!He shouted "pop" & it felt very hard! But there was not even a minimum ant scratch!

my twin had a ds lite and dropped it on hard tile,the swich broke so my dad took it to his work office and gave it a new one, my old ds, dropped in tolit :3 :[ :L

Aw, man...my brother had a DS and he dropped it 2 feet from the ground and it broke in half. It still works though.

i like how they made a system that can withstand a giga impact a regigigas but yet the L & R buttons are just as bad as the last few systems.

i dropped my 3ds xl down the stairs one time,it hit the floor really hard, but there was just a little scratch on the paint. nintendo makes them SUPER strong :D

this is me. did you stalk me? I do love my 3DS like it would live. Few time ago I got a 3DSXL and transfered all my data onto the new 3DS. It was really hard to say goodbye to the old one (same color as yours). Sniff...

Please. That's nothing compared to what I did. I performed CPR on my 3DS. I literally called nine-one-one to report major injuries to my 3DS. I even slept with my 3DS while it was recovering on the hospital! So... Yeah.
