The GTD-21 is a Mach three reconnaissance drone designed to be launched from a Blackbird carrier aircraft. A single high-resolution camera was mounted onto the bottom and was then released for retrieval after use. The drone itself would then self-destruct. Only four flights of the drone were operational- them being made over the People's Republic of China before the program was canceled. #GTD #airplanes
