I always thought he was an AI test. like his body isn't new, the AI is. But it altered the body's power source programming so it didn;t work right

powered up isn't canon. proto should be dead during the events of 1. hes brought back by wily between 1-2. he used blues to learn to make his own robots

the ai is semi copied. they are more inteligent enemies yet not RM smart, wily made proto a weapon
