At a week old, Darkkit (Silentshadow) is completely unaware of the world around her-unaware that the moment she was born, Wiltedvine the medicine cat prophesied that: 'Shadows will follow this kit's pawsteps.' She was proclaimed an omen of descruction and constantly watched by the terrified queens, who would let her nowhere near the other kits.
