I know the similarities between Steve and Pikachu, but Steve is NOT a Pikachu. I created Steve when I was 7 years old. I didn't know what the hell Pokemon was. At age 9 is when I learned about the video game world (i played vg before that, i just learned about them at 9).
I don't play Pokemon, I don't like Pokemon. Go on, hate on me. I honestly don't care. Steve is NOT, I repeat, NOT A POKEMON.
