Ritchie Blacmore from "Deep Purple" (60's) made a band called "Rainbow" (70's) with Ronnie James Dio as vocals. To the both of them, rainbows meant hope, dreams, magic and wonder, so in many of their songs they mention rainbows... especially Dio after he made his own band.
