WAKE UP, SHEEPLE! by Whoever

I don´t know why I drew this...
Note: This is just a joke. People landed on the moon. Please don´t start an argument about this in the comments.

Lol I watched the mythbusters episode on this, it turned out this myth was true! And that they really did land on the moon :P You guys should watch it sometime :D

Whoever

16 May, 2013, 3:26 pm

@Fran
I´m not sure what´s a myth about this anyway tbh. :P
It´s an historical fact.
With footage.
It´s like saying the Invasion of Normandy is a myth just because you weren´t there and didn´t trust the governments involved... :V

16 May, 2013, 3:47 pm

It's because of some silly conspiracy theorists back then, they thought that the government made up the whole lunar landing thing xD And that they were really using the money for it for something else! xD

nope not true they didnt land on the moon theres a reason why and a reason no one ever will land and to the guy that was talking about myth busters how about watching actuall scientists disscussing this topic

BillDaly

16 May, 2013, 4:02 pm

They really did go to the moon.....and play golf! And humanity reaped the benefits of freeze-dried instant coffee and Tang breakfast drink!
Really fun picture - great 3D & drawing.

Whoever

16 May, 2013, 4:09 pm

@Fran
I think the conspiracy theory came up way later but I´m not sure.
It seems to have been pretty real to everyone back than since even the Soviet Union congratulated the United States after Apollo 11.

Whoever

16 May, 2013, 4:20 pm

@Hypno
Please, don´t make me debunk this. You know I want to but I don´t want this page to be filled with loads and loads of angry rants. :s
I´ll just say that scientists, as in experts in this field, generally don´t agree with these theories.

16 May, 2013, 6:46 pm

:p They couldnt possibly know so much about space on science channels without atleast coming close to landing something there. and the earth from a distance is to incredible to fake Actually, people (rich people) go to the moon all the time. its not an easy or short trip. but there are multiple people in space as we speak :] the first one however could probably maybe-...ish-...ly be fake.

Victor S.

16 May, 2013, 6:48 pm

i could be convinced but, it seems unlikly that it was faked to me.

Victor S.

16 May, 2013, 6:58 pm

my point being: there is too much knowledge and science based on space that argues against the theory that moon landing is faked.

Whoever

16 May, 2013, 7:20 pm

@Fruitloop
If I remember correctly, that planet was a former gas-giant, washed down to the solid core. It always has the same side turned towards its sun so that one side is always boiling hot while the other side has said gravel-rain. :P I think it was one of the first planets discovered too.

Ya, commercial space travel exists already but vacations at the moon are still a thing of the future. I think noone set a foot on the moon since a few decades or so...

Victor S.

17 May, 2013, 12:16 am

disclaimer: i think what i meant to say is lots of people go into space all the time, and some people have went as far as the moon. multiple people have went into space at once :]

I can't tell if this photo is a Joke or not. I am an Astronomer and I'd like to point out a few things.
The Russians didn't claim the landings to be fake.
A mirror was placed on the Moon to calculate its distance.
The lack of stars was due to low image exposure.
There are Erath phazes just as there are moon phazes.
The Apollo landing sites have been imaged by the LRO.
I could go on and on....

Interesting theme!Actually these r the arguments some ppl say about the fake landing!I personally think its real!Good artwork Btw!

.:Brandon2:.

18 May, 2013, 2:57 pm

just for the record the moon landing was real cuz when the first ppl to land on the moon came back they had to be locked in a box for a month to eliminate "space germs" and keep it from spreading

ironicly they had a parade for them but they couldent be in it cuz they were in the box XD

gohan.

@Ganymede:
Don´t worry.
Its the same arguments I´d have used if someone tried convince others of a fake moonlanding. In fact, I used some already. :P

So far I managed to shut any hints of a debate down.
But let´s just wait, I´m sure one of these things will build up overnight at any day :s

wwwarea

22 May, 2013, 7:46 am

Personality, I'm still open that it could be fake, myth busters might of showed some strong things but that didn't 100 percent prove it, unless it's that strong... [May not have watched it.
Not sure it was but there still may be a possibility, like the box thing could be set up, but for this, I probably don't care and am open, I just hate it when people would auto believe some theories as facts when it's just another theory or something I think. But again, just wanted to point out my thoughts. :)

Dras

22 May, 2013, 2:31 pm

wwwerea, myth busters go ahead and pretty much recreate the entire thing perfectly, right down to a T, all while telling us it can't be recreated. Pretty shotty if you ask me.
I believe we went to the moon, I just don't believe in over-hyped ratings grabbing magical live footage that passed through a radiation belt unscaved to be brought into your living room. Considering we can barely do a sattelite interview today from two states away with out a delay and horrible skipping and juttering, yet the moon footage was smooth and clear. I especially find it hilarious considering we've gone back several times, yet have almost no video evidence of it... why? I've been to the zoo several times, I still take pictures of the same thing.
Common sense wins out on this one, I just find it really sad that people get so up in arms about it, draw stupid satire like this, and everyone fights over something when technically, both sides of the spectrum are right. We went, but the footage was fake.

Whoever

22 May, 2013, 3:18 pm

@wwwarea:
It´s not so much opposing theories but rather a theory that a historical fact is, in fact, not a fact :P
Just because you set up a theory against an existing fact, that doesn´t automatically make it just another theory unless you can give a plethora of evidence against it. And from what I´ve seen so far, conspiracy theorists couldn´t.
I´m all for differing opinions but in this case I´ll let rationality win.
It´s also more of a porady on what methods are commonly used to convince others of such theories :)

Whoever

22 May, 2013, 3:37 pm

@Dras
I don´t think getting radio signals from outer space should be too difficult, considering we do it all the time with all the sattelites out there.
I guess the grainy, low quality has something to do with that too.
You bring up some points but that doesn´t make your theory the correct one that everyone should be abled to see. :P

Dras

22 May, 2013, 8:18 pm

Anyone with a brain can put together the dots. Just because you denounce a few idiot conspiracy theorists, doesn't mean you have to agree that not always things are just as you're told.
That footage is fake as hell and barely any exists. That is my problem. Biggest accomplishment in mankind's history, barely any documentation on it besides a few, crappy minutes of live televised drivel that is so vague its ridiculous. I'm not out to pick a fight, but I think common sense deals with the idea that television stations will do ANYTHING for ratings and we were in the middle of a cold war that had everyone believing that Russia was going to burn us alive with nukes. We had to give people something to be happy about. And if you believe that television always vomits the truth, and If you don't believe me, look at the media fiasco that was the school shootings and how many times they missreported stuff on purpose just for ratings. There are quite a few news stations that are still under scrutiny for their accounts.
The space program was quite adamant about the fact that they did not want live footage shown of the moon landing.They were afraid of difficulties and problems with the landing. The last thing they wanted during their grand accomplishment was a live, televised technical issue that would kill a group of brave Americans right infront of an already weary America's eyes. That is common sense and it is faked, and they were damn smart for taking that precaution. And trust me, if radio signals have trouble going from one satelite in new jersey to another satelite in main without delay, choppy audio is ALWAYS a problem, with the current state of the art equipment we have, then I see a lot of problems with the idea that it somehow magically went through a radiation belt, atmosphere, and atmospheric conditions to the convenience of everyone's television sets. Its not an issue of whether it happened, its an issue of it happening just then and them faking some spectacular footage. And yes, the footage was grainy at the time, but so was Happy Days. I've seen grainier, crappier live footage from war news reels from ten years later. Ten, years, later. On this planet with better equipment. So you'll just have to excuse me that I don't believe everything that comes out of the magical box. I find this sort of thing insulting to common sense. Because as far as I'm concerned skeptics are small minded twits who worship their own sense of superiority, because they can separate themselves from a group of nuts, it makes them feel intelligent. And the people who believe it was some kind of government coverup are just paranoid nuts.
I choose to go with the most realistic course of action, in a world where money rules all, I'm going to automatically assume nothing is done, particularly on television, without some sort of monetary gain. That is how the rich stay rich.
Common sense should prevail and every time I see sheep and Agent Molders fighting over this subject I wanna slap them both for being short sighted and not understanding how the world works.
It happened and if you believe that footage is real, then I have a bridge by the name of Brooklyn to sell ya.

Its grainy becuse they didnt hook it up to the video feed, NASA actully just video taped the screen at the base so your seeing a recording of a tv screen with the feed on it through your tv. :P
