Emily: O.O Erm... I don't mean to cause any worry, but it sounds like you may have a kidney infection. I've had it before, and the symptoms I had sound identical to what you've described. You should definately get it checked out.

Sad but true.. I'd like to think a lot if my behavior is not a mask but my own is still there. I certainly try to hide all my insecurities and I can be pretty useless sometimes lol.

And Emily, I agree with foureyedninja. Infections like that can be taken care of but if you let it go too long it can become pretty serious.

I've noticed this A LOT. People pretent do be something they think they're EXPECTED to be. But a strong sense of self that is unaffected by the world is very important. Even I've fallen into the trap of acting happy when I'm not because I need to help unhappy people. So, which masks are you wearing?

If only that were true, sweetie.

Mostly the 'happy' mask because I'm trying to cheer others up. And the 'normal' mask. Along with the 'tough' and 'uncaring' mask. I have to pretend I don't care sometimes v.v

But I prefer you to "normal" people. I think you're amazing just the way you are. Normal tends to lack substance and understanding.

I won't lie; I think I pretend to be stronger than I am a lot of the time. I suffer from a long list of illnesses, and I often delude myself into thinking that I'm strong, and that I'm coping with it all, but on the inside, I struggle to cope sometimes...
