'Metroidvania'. Heard of them? Explorey, jumpey games with rpg-like character development.
This is one of them, a good one!
Enemies are beaten by 'bumping' into them which works better than it sounds. You can also attack with upgradeable magic prpjectiles. The difficulty is pitched fairly without ever being too hard, save points are always close by. The graphics could be better, shallow 3D but the music is awesome!
I beat the game in 2 hours so it's not huge but good value!
