This is the first time I've drawn a #mermaid or even an #underwater scene for that matter... but I'm very, very pleased with the result. Everything turned out just how I wanted :) It was very fun to draw, and I have a feeling I'll be doing more mermaid stuff in the future :)

:D Aw, thank you. X"3 And lol, confidince is something I certainly lack and don't have. I sing too, but even then I still shy away around people. Thanks for the advice though! ^w^ Btw, your gallery is really nice, I love your drawing style and the way you shade! ^o^

How do you come up with those names?
13 May, 2013, 6:35 am
I just pick a name that seems to fit them (both appearance and the personality I imagine) that starts with the first letter of the first noun I think of when looking at the finished image. In this case it was "nereid"

This is pretty good...although the anatomy is a bit off. Elbows don't extend past the highest part of the lowest rib. Her arms are really long, lol. Please don't be offended, I just want to help you improve since I see promise in your art. Can't get better if you don't know what to change/work on, right? xP
