An eevee? .A. They're dangerous, stay away!

I think these are like weird furries or something.
I'm from Hatena, never made OC in my life like that. Some people call these Chaos, but Chaos are the little thingy that Cream from Sonic has as a pet.

yeah just evees actually they just popped up over night on hatena i went wtf when i saw it

but all this happened because stupid shiny evee now anyone on hatena with this as an o.c. is "popular" IT MAKES ME SO MAD

Thanks for letting me know :) I think some people who draw these don´t even know where they come from. I asked some people having these OCs and they couldn´t answer why they drew them. I guess it was such an enormous fad that it transcended its original meaning and became "just a Flipnote thing"... I just hope Colors-users don´t come up with similar things :s

originally was shinyeevee's version of chao that seems to have mutated a bit over the years. :P wasnt any paws or fox tails like that or whatever, but yeah, mutated. :l
well luckily colors isnt rampant with this stuff as flipnote, i think flipnote3d will go rampant with this stuff like before though once their service transfers over.

@ComicSucker, Haha, I added the tail because I always assumed they were supposed to be eevees. XP I mean, they are clearly based on the eevee-design and most people who represent themselves with one are named "Adjective Eevee" or something. Additionally, I´ve seen people using this as a basis for other Pokemon-OCs such as eeveelutions or Charmanders (complete with puffy hair) which adds even more to the confusion...

@TCG, @PokeXernas: Aren´t people doing this already? This was the case with all the "Gartoon Girls" and aside from the occasional "TCG style self portait", some people seem to be wanting to draw exclusively in your style. I just hope this doesn´t become too common...

Its a style that just got really popular on Hatena, I tried it for a while, but it dosen't work well for me.

@Linski: I didn´t say it was important, other people got carried away about how much they dislike the design. :) I personally don´t hate it but wouldn´t want it to repeat itself again with another character-design on Colors!3d...

My main question was always "What is it??"

I'll admit i made some characters like that, but I don't use them anymore for originality's sake(I changed one's design and species entirely). I belive they are called "eevees" or "chaos". For some reason they all look like genetic clones.

There were 3 stereotypicals kinds of FH people:
These ones, the stick figure ones, and the boo ones.
Ever notice the boo popularity there too?

Okay.. all of you calm down. Alot of people have this sort of character but not all. There are ALOT of characters that are original from hatena that are here. And don't blame "stupid" shinyeevee either. That's not fair to her.And if you think EVERYONE from hstena has this character then you've probably only seen 6 creators from hatena.

This. This is the MAIN reason I hate ShinyEevee. I hate her animation style and drawing style, really. It's like doing thelastcommando's style. It's kinda stupid. It's not your style, so don't copy her every time.

@kirstene, I didn´t mean to offend anyone, it was just an observation about how common this type of character is and I was genuinely wondering where it came from. I don´t generalize all F.H. users and I don´t think worse of you if you have an OC like this. It was just always a bit odd to me...

I came up with an OC that may fit under the category you're talking about two years ago (yes, I'm a Hatenian), but I never actually knew who "ShinyEevee" was back then nor did I ever thought of my character (SB) being an Eevee. Mine is just supposed to be a mysterious creature, but due to how common these characters are now, it just doesn't look quite original as it used to be. This may be the answer that you're not looking for, but it may explain why I have a character with a similar design to this.

Oh and some people said theyre referred to as chaos sometimes? (Despite being Eevees) Or are they rather called charas then? Because I think I heard that sometimes and I think I know where it comes from..

Oh, I was going to make a joke about these things... Yeah, as you know, it's a thing that started on hatena. Obviously not everyone does this, but popular animators get coppied all the time on hatena. This seems to be the one that came over to Colors pretty quickly though.

I don't hate HER, but I hate her art. That style...it makes me mad.

The animating style makes me gag...Why? I'm studying animation. It looks lazy. You don't need to slide and shake and blur so much!
I just never saw the appeal. I was more a Guitar fan myself. The Epic and Guitar duo made me happy because they were doing some traditional style animation! Mr. Bluth would be pleased indeed, yes.

last time i was on flipnote hatena (which was like 4 years ago XD) i saw them everywhere DX

i could make a creepy pasta outta this; the man who saw "shiny eevees" everywhere and died, the end.

I've been there since near the beginning, and I still have no earthly idea.

aka; idk XD maybe someone famouse on FH had this animation up and said, "make and join the shiny eevee adventures!" then it reigned for a long time. ect, ect, my guess.

@Linski: I didn´t even say I dislike this character design. There´s a reason why its copied to much, it´s easy to draw and looks kinda cool (at least to me). It´s just that they´re everywhere and I had no idea where they came from. I was really more confused about this because I´ve never seen them anywhere else. I don´t mind them but a lot of people seem to. I´ve never been to Flipnote and never saw one of Shiny Eevees animations, so what do I know? :P

I honestly don't know.... .-. I think a lot of people have characters like that because they're easy to animate or they're cute or something. Can't give you a good answer for that one, sorry. ^^;

Well, I guess SOME people would find the characters"cool", but I just feel that these types of drawings are just thriving for attention, Whoever.

for every flipnot on hatena there are atleast 20 of these things. and i still ask myself: what IS it?

Yeah, It's like the style people use on hatena, because it's easy to animate with :3 Aaaand of curse I copied this style too.... Everybody personalizes his style it's own way, but it's still similar :3

I barely see the distinguishing features on these Eevees when I find them on Flipnote, and the animation style for them was so lame. I like Epic and Guitar's animations, they don't have the laziness of these. The duo does a lot.

They're Chao. They don't look like it, but many of them are in fact Chao. Some are called Eevees, but from what I remember off of my experience on hatena, they're mostly Chao.
I've personally wondered why none of them had the emote ball on top of their heads.

Flipnote makes animations, right :/ The easier something is to draw the faster it is to make an animation with it -_- If flipnote isn't what I thought then disregard this, of course :P

eugh these things, they're the reason why I didn't visit hatena often

there's been a recent tidal wave of them coming recently due to the upcoming flipnote 3D & the original flipnote being discontinued

It's just a inspired culture thing like everything else TBH.. I like it. And even if it's lazy, doesn't mean it's bad art or bad... Easy art is great for anyone and it works well. Easy or not.. But I guess it's so popular because they do look great to many tbh.

I'm from FH and yes, these guys were really famous OC'S aside from Boos. I'm not much of animal person but yeah these guys were everywhere. Good thing i dont draw like that.

It is a furry of some sort. They were in MVs EVERYWHERE on Flipnote Hatena, along with the backwards hat stickfigures. I suppose it was simple to draw and easy to animate. If you haven't already, ask FleesVeon about this question.
