'I am here to protect you.' He did not speak words that I could hear, but somehow I knew that it was he who was speaking.
When I reached out to touch him, his eyes grew brighter and he took a step back, then silently shook his head. With a flick of his tail, he motioned for me to follow.
The place he lead me to was pitch black and I could only see where he was by his glow.
'Remember, if you ever have need of me, I will know, and I will come.
Always.'
Then I woke up.

Well, he didn't try and EAT me, so that's a good start. And I just got this kind of... I don't know... Vibe off him that told me with absolute certainty that he was good.
