There is a expanation to this picture. Do you see the volcano in the background? Its at the bottem left corner. That meabs the whole place is lava themed. So both Mario and Sonic can die from the lava. Even Mario's abilitys can't top off Super Sonic's, so Mario's advantage is to SURVIVE Sonic's Super form. After that Mario can finish Sonic off in one blow. So Mario wins.

Why is everyone saying Mario?? If Sonic has more than five rings on him, Mario is DEFINITELY going to lose. I admit I am naturally inclined to root for Sonic, but seriously, Mario's two hit points plus fire against FREAKIN' SUPER SONIC?! Like I said, any more than five rings and Mario's toast. Why? Because Super transformations run off a one ring per secon basis. If Sonic is forced to deactivate immidiately, a lot of good THAT does him, one hit and he's down. But if he has more than five seconds, Mario's done for. Don't believe me? Play Super Smash Bros. Brawl and give Sonic a Smash Ball, go ahead I DARE YOU! Basically, what I'm trying to say is that while there is a slim chance that Mario will win, Sonic's pretty much got it in the bag. Oh wait, forgot to mention Super Sonic is invincible and can fly and go even faster than normal. Good luck with THAT, Mario!

Well it depends. If Mario were to win, he'd have to surive Super Sonic and still have some powerups. For Sonic to win, he needs to quickly finish Mario off before Mario can use those powerups, or when Mario runs out of powerups.

Sonic is ALREADY invincible, idiots. Mario getting a star would only cause a stalemate until someone runs out of time on their invincibility. Assuming that the prescence of an invincibility star also implies that there are several Rings nearby, Sonic's still coming out the winner on this one. Besides, Mario doesn't have any time to get a star. The instant after the events of this pic, Sonic would punch Mario twice so fast you could hardly even see it. Or shoot lazer beams in his face. Or drag him up fifty feet in the air and meteor punch him to the ground. Or just ram into him at ligtspeed. No matter what, Mario is SCRE.WED. I can't even take this seriously. Just wow. He also has lot's of team-mates consisting of Luigi, ToadXinfinity, Yoshi(about 17 million) and a whole lot more!!! Luckily, Mario can breath under water unlike Sonic who would instantly die!
