well, I mean... I actually really like how it turned out. but i dont think the spores look good in 2d. the sprout thing on its head annoys me, and the skirt still bothers me. but thank you all 4 the support! you guys have made me feel so cool lately haha it high time i looked at your stuff.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but shroomish has five things on his head, not three. Still, this painting is like beyond awesome. It's like breathlessly amazing. How did you achieve that 3D effect? By lavering the actual shroomish on different layers? Anyway, the one sure fire way to not get depressed by the quality of your art is to have a purpose. Whether it is to chat with friend, try new things, or send a message, If a painting fulfills its purpose, it's always a sucess.

Gary! I was trying to be original. you'll also notice shroomish's skirt is made of flaps not cups. I dont like the idea of all pokemon looking exactly the same.

Really? In that case then, It's completely perfect! About the "Gary" painting, I like the idea of incredibly powerful beings having such ordinary names. In all actuality, "Gary" is just one facet of his entire being. In other words, he appears to Tooch Zoompow with this name. As a complete entity, however, he goes by the name of Reyajin. Great name. Sounds both medieval and ancient Japanese at the same time, which makes sense because Reyajin is essentially a cross between an angel and a Togukawa warlord.

Wow. I just realized my stupid Mario painting has two more likes than this, although it's 100 times better. It appauls me that I got so much on that just because it's mario. People try so hard on unique things, and are forgotten, while stock art of mario heads straight for the top. I'm so horrified that I will never paint Mario again. (probably)

play mario all you want lol Its not about getting as many likes as humanly possible. it is nice though to have people make comments like the ones u have done. I'm okay with knowing one person cares :) It would appear I have a fanbase of repeat visitors. I love those guys. I amost constantly check their galleries as well.

they really need to add a "Follow this artists gallery" option around here, unless I write down all the artists names on paper, im never gonna remember the people whos paintings I enjoy, until I randomly happen to run into their new drawings by luck.

No, you've got it all wrong. I don't even like Mario that much. I mean seriously, if you look in the "top rated" gallery, you'll see these amazing landscapes and characters, and then average Mario paintings. Sadly, people gravitate towards Mario just because, it's well, Mario. I see you got more stars now. I'm glad your painting got the recognition it deserves.
