The game in Japan was actually about an Arab, but NoA (Nintendo of America) changed it to seem like a Mario game.

No, the game started as a Mario prototype but was changed at the last secong to Fuji Films' mascots and entitled Doki Doki: Panic. It was changed back to Mario by NoA and then released in Japan again. So, technically, it was always meant to be a Mario game. ; )

Thank you. I'm trying to draw more cartoony as I spent the last 12 years since graduation (I'm 30 and majored in graphic design and animation) drawing only anime and realistic style art. Porkman's style is a huge influence on me.
