For the class, I did a different idea, rather than the one with my red scarf guy. It involves the return of an ancient evil from the world's forgotten mythology, but in a modern setting. The hero, in the city where the monsters take over, has to climb up corrupted towers. It'll be floor based, with bosses at the top of the towers they have corrpted. (Imagine Pokemon mystery dungeon Luigi's masion multiplayer mode, but with rpg elements like crafting weapons and armor).
