i cant help but dislike religion. i went to a private christian school from k-3 to the end of 9th grade and i do believe it was a big contributing factor to my severe anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. i was never treated fairly by teachers and students AND prin.cip.als, i knew i didnt belong there, i was just ready to give up and it was so draining i finally decided i couldnt take it anymore so i begged my mum to let me homeschool instead. but yeah. religion. not for me.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Talking about religion is a big phobia if mine. I usually get Scolded and yelled at for being a Christian around here. So I never just talk about it.
But I can see where you are coming from. Religion should NEVER be a forced thing. U v U

@JustDesserts oh man i went through that too. my mum doesnt care too much and is pretty accepting of me but my dad and like the entire rest of my family would probably disown me if i said anything so i keep my mouth shut about personal things around them. just do what feels best for you. uvu

well, as a christian, i know many christians can be dogmatic jerks. actually, if you look at Jesus's life, he also wasn't a fan of religion either. he's all about personal relationships.

Same, I can't contribute to it without being yelled at or given wierd looks.

yeah i just cant do religon either. my grandparents when i was a little kid told me there was going to be a 'armegeddon' or something, i probably spelled that wrong, and when that happened i would get my dad back. i prayed every day for 6 years. So many things like that happened and i cant take it. And dont get me wrong, im not a anti-religious or whatever, you can have opinions, i really dont care, but keep me out of it. really.
gah. anyways, i love this picture! your art is great as usual!

i kno dat feel, man
my dad forced me to go to church alone all my life until i was sixteen and said i wasn't going anymore. i always felt uncomfortable at my church. i noticed that women were def treated differently than the men there. like, inferior. i remember being fourteen and i asked if women could be preachers too, and the dude said no because girls are sinful. because we tempted adam with the apple. what....f.ucking logic
yeah, but that's when i decided religion wasn't for me. ugh

Religion does seem to take more from you than give you anything. False hope or general acceptance maybe. But it's never given true happiness or understanding. Just confusion and the feeling that all you do is wrong. Having to hide inside yourself sucks.
