The other most prominent defense mechanism is a mounted gu.n and laser canon hybrid. This retractable weapon is capable of firing standard, military grade rounds an energy beam at various diameters. However, the wider the range of the laser, lesser amounts of power get distributed in the affected area. This is a trivial matter, though, due to the fact that the wind energy fueling it is extremely dangerous and hyperactive in it's own right. The energy that does power the laser canon is a direct result of the energy left over from that which moves the vehicle. Two cyclonic propulsion cells are installed on the Cyclone-M6. Katrina usually powers these up by creating a miniature cyclone within each (hence the name "Cyclone-M6"). These cyclones are kept moving by electromagnetic pulses within the cells. The moving air is forced out the bowl-like cups on the bottom at adjustable pressures and angles, allowing for smooth control over speed and direction. Almost all of the hoverbike's functions are designed to be activated by Katrina's powers, but an alternate start-up can be provided via rechargable battery pack.
