Sea Fog by PhantomSapphire
Me attempting (and failing) to replicate a view of the sea (from memory) I saw whist traveling via train from Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough happens to be a very busy port so there is never a day where there are no ships on the sea.

I would not say fail. It certainly looks foggy, and it has the right feeling of a sea with fog rolling in, which I see a lot of and love very much. I like this, it feels right.

The thing is it was very captiviting when I did see this yesterday and this is no-where near as amazing dramatic or beautiful as was to see.

I understand. But painting is also about feelings, so in that I don't think you failed, though I sure understand as an artist not being able to do what one hopes to do in creating. My only answer is, keep at it. Monet would paint the same thing many times.
