My name is Streamline. I was born a pegasus, but I was no good at flying. That's because my wings never fully grew out, like someone was arranging the feathers and gave up halfway. I was teased for it, but Mom said that I didn't need wings to soar. I know she only said that to make me feel better. Why else would my dad leave when I was born?

I was also afraid of the water for some reason. Couldn't fly, couldn't swim, I was a total loser. So I tried to find my own thing and doing things fast kind of became it. I'm a pegasus, after all. I was always racing ponies in my own way, whether it was finishing breakfast or finishing a book. I thought I would get my cutie mark like that, but I didn't. That would come another day...

I was playing with some pegasi friends in the clouds. They thought it would be funny to leave me behind, so they flew off in some random direction. I chased them as fast as I could on the clouds. I would've caught them if the clouds spread as far as the ocean. But they don't, and my friends noticed too late to save me from falling into the ocean below.

How nice, I thought, for a pony who's afraid of the water to die by drowning. Actually, it was pretty peaceful down there, if you ignore the water pressure and the deep voice in your head...
"...ings...t...ar..."
"...u...ne...ngs...to...so..."
"You don't need wings to soar!"

Those are Mom's words! I felt some weird power when I heard them, lifting me up. I let it fill my body and take me to the surface. Imagine my friends' faces when they saw burst out of the water all heroic like that. They were cheering for me when I landed on a cloud. Behind me, my wings were extended with magic and I found my cutie mark. It can't be, can it? Dad...I'll find the truth!

Streamline's personality is witty and competitive, but practical when needed. He used to be shy and embarrassed, and this side of him pops out every now and then. He loves to have fun more than anything. Expect a little pride from him, too.

His weapon is a trident, a gift from his father, though he keeps it more to look cool than anything, because a trident isn't very practical for fighting. Instead, he mostly uses its ability to control water (read: waterbending), meaning he needs a source of water to be at his full power. His trident can also magically extend his wings, allowing him to outspeed and outmaneuver everything underwater and sometimes using them as shields. However, they don't work for flying.
