That`s pretty good, especially for your first drawing! I recommend toying with the 3D, you may end up with amazing results :)

Yeah, you don`t have to leave the 3D on all the time, finish your drawing and then switch some layers, make a 3D background... it doesn`t need to be too fancy ;)
Also, you can check other people`s gallery by touching their names - it`s not a rule, but it`s nice when you answer in their galleries, just a tip :D
